Michel and the AssistExpo Team are AWESOME! We were introduced to AssistExpo at the OAAS Convention, after Michel’s very impressive and promising pitch our Rockton World’s Fair team agreed and we started full swing with AssistExpo. Needless to say, it has rocked The Rockton World’s Fair ever since.
Michel really took the time to understand our Fair, our documents, our operations and is always working with us to tailor AssistExpo to best suit our Fair’s needs. His expertise and understanding of the industry in the Fairs, livestock and technology world has made it extremely easy to communicate and work with.
AssistExpo is now a staple in our office operations. We love how the reports can break down and display various statistics and aspects of our Fair. The program has helped us improve on collecting exhibitor and animal information( A huge help when it comes time to generate complete and detailed catalogues and reports for each of our shows and competitions). Exhibitors have very positive feedback with the ease of entering online and we had a very impressive amount of online entries this year.
As for judging… where has this program been all of our life? Entering results is quick and easy and saved us time and hassle when printing tags, processing entries and printing cheques. We can view our exhibitor count with a click of a button and finding contact information for exhibitors, members, volunteers, etc. is a breeze.

The Alberni District Fall Fair was very pleased with our recent licensing agreement with AssistExpo. After several years with an antiquated data program we are very happy with this amazing program. We found that Michel and his team took us through every step from pre-registrations to pay out. As this was our first experience using the program it was trial by fire, if we were having questions there is a message center and the response time is very quick. Michel and his team were often in the ear of my assistant, guiding us through the procedures to follow, and customizing the program to our needs eve when Michel was out of the office traveling. It is evident that AssistExpo know their clients and have extensive knowledge of the fair industry. We had researched other Fair programs - but some of them were off the shelf packages - and not compatible with the way our Canadian Fairs work. The Canadian Sheep Breeders' Association uses AssistExpo for its All Canada Sheep Classic, which is a national sheep show and sale that moves from province to province each year. AssistExpo was able to tailor the entry process specifically for the Classic and include warnings if entry rules were not being followed. Producers who use the online entry system are very pleased with the AssistExpo's ability to link to the official breed registries, which allows "autofilling" of an animal's ID, name, birthdate and pedigree. Using AssistExpo saves consignors and office personnel hours of data entry time and decreases the chance of entry mistakes. The Canadian Sheep Breeders' Association strongly recommends AssistExpo to any association planning a show or sale.

Alpaca Ontario and the Canadian National Cavalcade of Champions used the AssistExpo system for the first time for their combined show in the spring of 2017. The learning curve for the volunteers was exponential but the support from the staff at AssistExpo was phenomenal. With much of our work being done late at night by volunteers, the quick responses and willingness to work with us at odd hours was greatly appreciated.
The system adapted well to our unique format. We really liked the feature that allowed breeders to enter the CLAA registry number for their alpaca and have all the information about that alpaca extracted from their data base.
AssistExpo was also a very good value for our group. We have used a US based system in the past at a much greater cost. This system is also more flexible than what we used previously, and we were able to format the data as needed for the show book.

When we discovered AssistExpo, we were impressed by its features and affordability. While the platform had been developed specifically for agricultural exhibitions, it was flexible enough to be suitable for draft horse shows - and adaptable to meet the specific needs of a large show like the 2015 World Clydesdale Show. AssistExpo's customizable database and fully integrated data management made it easy to use and provided an efficient and effective process for managing entries, results, and record keeping. The ability to immediately publish results as they were recorded helped make sure exhibitors, friends, family, and fans could keep track of results as they happened from the official show records, rather than wait until the end of the show or rely on word-of-mouth results. 2015 was our first year using AssistExpo and it is a wonderful tool for livestock exhibition. Even though we discovered AssistExpo just months before our October show, Michel and his staff were quick to get us up and running. 2015 was our first year using AssistExpo and we are very pleased with the program. Doing entries was quite easy... being able to connect online with the livestock associations made for less errors. The AssistExpo team was really helpful and was available during the Fair to answer all our questions. Moving forward, things will be more familiar to us and we will save a lot of staff time.
TheAgassiz Fall Fair is a 1 day event with a large 4-H animal section as well as 1400 entries of fruit, vegetables, flowers, baking, canning, needlework, arts and crafts (adult and children) and photography. For over 10 years a custom software program (Paradox database ) was what we used. In 2014 I was looking for a new program which would allow anyone, even if they had no computer experience, to be able to run the program. It had to be user friendly, tailored to meet our requirements and be cost efficient for our small Fair. AssistExpo met our requirements. Michel and his team were very supportive and able to customize a program for us. The biggest challenge was to create exhibit labels that were compatible to our existing entry tag system and they accomplished this. Communication whether by email or phone was always prompt and productive. Explanations were clear and easily understood. I would recommend AssistExpo for any Fair.

EastGen was proud to host over 430 4-H participants at our dairy and beef shows across the EastGen service area in 2015. With four different shows happening within the span of three weeks, it is a very busy time for show administration. The registration process for these shows was always a very time consuming process, with staff having to key in all the information from hand-written forms. We turned to AssistExpo last year to streamline this process. Right from the very start, Michel and his team were very accommodating and took the time to understand the needs of all our different events. A very simple to use program was developed that allowed our participants to easily enter information while making the payment at the time of registration. The process made show registration a much simpler and accurate process. The one service that AssistExpo offers that stands out above the rest is the customer service. Michel was always a phone call away on show day or anytime through the event preparation to answer questions and walk us through any issue. This program saved us valuable staff time and dollars. We intend to continue using this very economical program for show administration.
We used the AssistExpo program for 5 of our Major shows in 2012. The ease of manually entering cattle and uploading the entries to a catalogue saved me a lot of hours that the catalogue normally took. The feature of only having to enter the registration number and knowing that all of the information was then correct was amazing. The exhibitors that took advantage of the online registrations also commented on how much time they saved and the ease of making entries. The program was very easy to use and Michel was great with any issues that we had. He was only a phone call or email away and always touched base to make sure things were running as they should. AssistExpo has simplified the running of Expo Ormstown by providing a program capable of managing and producing everything from exhibitor’s information, and databases to accounting. This past year (2015) the Barrie Fair was looking to not only improve the management of its thousands of entries, but also find a way to make class lists, and entries more readily available to exhibitors. For these reasons we decided to partner with Assist Expo, a program that is not only user friendly for our office staff, but also exhibitors wanting submit online entries. This program has helped with class list organization, as well as made keeping track of entries much more efficient. Furthermore, the accounting feature is a great guide in knowing your account payables and receivables. We were very happy how much time Michel and his staff had taken to discuss with us what our needs were, and how we could set up our account in a way that would work best for our fair. We also greatly appreciated the time that was taken to answer any of our questions, and work with us to teach our staff how to use Assist Expo to its full potential. 2017 was our first year using AssistExpo, the program has benefitted our fair by making us work smarter not harder. Michel and his team helped us to customize the system for our needs and the ongoing customer service they have provided us has been worth its weight in gold. There was a lot of hesitation on our board about using the program but all of that apprehension was gone and replaced with excitement as soon as we started using the program. Even our users who have no computer experience were able to navigate AssistExpo, make changes, and complete updates with no issues. For our 2017 Fair we used AssistExpo for all of our Homecraft procedures – exhibitors, exhibits, printing tags and website configuration. We had 269 exhibitors of which only 5 choose to enter outside of the system, and it was easy for us to enter those 5 into the AssistExpo system. The system managed over 2000 Homecraft entries with no issues. This year we are looking at expanding our use of AssistExpo for our sponsorship division and increasing the number of shows that register through it.
